Reunification

The land of the morning come

For years the FBI aid by CIA try unsuccessfully to infiltrate the money laundry and smuggle ring from Japan to North Korea, the North Korean secret service have stablish an elaborate network with variety of purposes, amongst espies, technology smuggling and money laundry.

Six month ago a CIA agent contact a South Korean student known to have contacts with North Korean espies infiltrated amongst the reunifcation party revels pose to create riots and parades in favor to a reunification of both countries and expel American military pressence in the peninsula, while UN nuclear inspector and negociators struggle to sustain a path toward an understanding, this two factors were far apart but CIA director of operations in Seoul manage to link both with a simple plan, the contact with the student led to a japanese counter spy, leaking information to a agent code name "magenta", better known as Max, the counter spy provide a direct access to the fleet of fishing vessels and trawlers willing to coperate with the CIA, they deliver invaluable insight to the North Korean covert operations, but soon some thing more important surface, with the rumor that a scientist involved in several mass distruction weapons programs wanting to migrate and coperate with the US, it could mean the coup of large porportions to the North Korean's weapons system although it wasn't the first time a scientist from North Korea betray the regime the CIA wasn't gonna let this chance go bye, this operation went as high as direct command by the CIA director at Langley.

Chapter 1

daily, vendors gather around the crates of fishes, all sort out ready to be put on display, a tall men with blond hair and blue eyes stick in crowd of shoppers and many people of all status buy row and cooked fish, Max just stood still until a men slipped him a note, it was so fast he didn’t see or feel it, look around quietly and walk away, as he adandon the market and cross the street sprawl with cars, bikes and motorcicles, glimpse back to see if he was follow, turn the corner, walk a block, the smell of fish was still strong two blocks away when he turn the corner again and in a back alley open the passenger door of a Toyota, Max wasn’t use to the driving side of Japanese cars.

The man at driver seat glimpse at Max "did you got get message?"

Max- yeah, let’s go.

The morning commute through the streets of Tokyo was a nightmare, taking the rout south out of the city.

The CIA run covert operations out of a upper class home 30 miles south of Tokyo, Max handed the Stone the message, immediately read it, Stone knew Japenese and Chinese fluently, glimpse at Max.

Stone- how’s the infiltration with the Korean student coming?

Max- I told her I had to meet some friends.

Stone- does he trust you?

Max- yeah (getting out of the car).

Stone- get back to Seoul and keep me reported.

Max- let me in.

Stone- you’re working on the need to know basis.

That night CIA director flew into Japan, colonel Duncan was also call, the apparent notice brought a brake through, CIA director James Woodward didn’t trust the espies, he was more comfortable on getting reliable intelligence from satellite even he knew all the satellite intelligence would not amount to much without any human confirmation, however espies reports were often unreliable at best, that’s why the CIA during the late 70s practically stop trying to infiltrate the Soviet Union and rely better on the satellite which have grown in importance and reliability.

Woodward got down the ladder of the learjet and look up, Stone took a large sip of bourbon from a small bottle hide it on his jacket and got out of the car to meet the director.

Stone- how was the flight?

Woodward- usual, some sleep, a movie and food.

Stone- good (waving him into the car).

Once inside the limousine, Woodward exhale and felt the heater kicking in.

Stone- field agent magenta made contact with a informant, the message read.

Chief Scientist Kim Ho is willing to come to our side, he has the blue prints of the nuclear factories, bases, also chemical and biological.

Woodward- sounds too good to be true.

Stone- I know but I think we gotta give it a shot.

Woodward- I call colonel Duncan, he’ll meet us in the house, (pass his right hand on his chin, gone two days without shaving, thinking he didn’t trust the contact), when we suppose to meet this guy?

Stone- tomorrow night.

That night logistic NCO (non commission officer) sergeant major Michael Jones was viewing the prequesite orders and saw the paper signed by colonel Duncan, Jones had served for three years with the staff of general Paul Mannix, chief in command of the US forces in Japan.

Reach for the phone and dial the direct extention to the general’s office.

Jones- general, I have a prequesite order from colonel Duncan.

Mannix- what he wants.

Jones- a C-130G.

Mannix- what’s the flight plan.

Jones- Seoul.

Mannix- thank you sergeant major.

MIASAWA AB was along way from Tokyo, in the northern corner of Japan, the cold wind announce the eve of what appear a cold front in the horizon, 1st lieutenant Brandson’s plane standing on the tarmac made the final check, compass, fuel tanks, pressure pitot for altimeter and all instruments, took a look at the flight map, cover with transparent plastic cheet, strap to his leg, he took a pen and trace the rout, weather report icing at 5,000 ft. on the second point, BRAVO lane that was some two hundred miles long and fog below 2,000 ft., checked IFR navigation, IFF navigation, ILS, weather radar and glimpse at the copilot.

Brandson- are we ready?

- yeah.

- engine one

The right engine spin once and feather then rev up.

Duncan come up to the cavin and glance at the captain.

Duncan- we have a slight change of plans (handed the map with a navigation rout).

Brandson stutter and frown as he saw the navigation rout to North Korea, suddenly a routine flight had turned into a dangerous mission.

Brandson- colonel this flight plan will take us to North Korea.

Duncan- yeah.

Brandson- this mission is not only dangerous but might not be sanction by the NCA.

Duncan- if you don’t feel competent for the mission, I’ll get another pilot.

Glimpse at the colonel, his eyes squinted and grin of discuss then glimpse his copilot.

Brandson- Baba are you up for it.

- no problem

Brandson- okay let’s do it.

The 4 C-130 ALLISON engines were revving for take off, the DELTA platoon formed in line, Duncan walk along the line of the soldiers, they all were train at fort BRAGG as DELTA force unit, detach from the 5th brigade commandered by major Bonnan, Duncan was about to give them the send off when a sergeant run to the formation.

-general Mannix wants to see you before your men depart.

The general took a vacant office, he didn’t see the name plate, sat comfortably behind the desk, Duncan enter the room and put his reading glasses, Mannix glance at him and inhale.

Duncan- you ask to see me Sr.

Mannix- where’s that C-130 going.

Duncan- Sr., I was brief a North Korean scientist wants to migrate to the US and coperate.

Mannix- who in the NCA authorize this operation.

Duncan- is my understanding the NSA and a chieff of staff have gave the go.

Mannix- who contact this scientist.

Duncan- CIA field agents have put together this operation.

Mannix never trusted the CIA, he served two tours in Vietnam were he received CIA reports that all the time were wrong and heard of covert operations well inside North Vietnam.

Mannix- this conversation never happen because if this blows up in your face I won’t be standing alone blowing sunchine up my ass.

Duncan saw the rugged men in the tarmac, the eyes squinted of major Bonnan show no emotion however he knew they feel the anticipation and excitement prior to any mission, he recall no long ago missions to, Lebanon, Afghanistan, Libya, his last field operation was to Iraq 8 months before the Hussein invade Kuwait.

Duncan took a breath, grin and look around the faces.

Duncan- alright men listen up, objective of this mission to Wonsan North Korea, enter undtected, contact local friendly that will help you to extract a civilian and bring him back to safety, (look down and pace), you gonna have to rely on local civilians to achieve the objectives, you most trust them but keep your eyes and ears open, you never know when the shit is about hit the fan (wave at Stone), Mr. Harold Stone will be the CIA liaison, he will contact the local, identify our men and extract him.

The cold ice made the flight bumpy, wind gust the plane as lieutenant Brandson manage to maintain the plane in flight, the wing defrosters were working overtime to keep the weight of the ice off the wings, checked GPS (global positioning system), each leg and marked, speed and altitude, glimpse at 2nd lieutenant Byers before checking his map.

Brandson- 50 miles to enter North Korean air space.

Byers- prepare to drop to 1,000 ft.

Brandson- turn on TFR (terrain following radar), IR (infrared) sensor, ALQ (airborne radar jammer).

Byers push the switches and set the azimuth knob of the TFR to X band, IR sensor to white heat.

Byers- all set.

The plane slowly glide down till lieutenant Brandson saw the navy blue waters through the fog, Brandson look at the picture of his wife, knowing he was putting his life on the line, things were rocky between him and her, she’d moved to her parents two weeks ago, he call many times but she refuse to take his calls and miss her so, he had try his personal life would not affect his performance, was a big responsibility to fly a special operation into North Korea, it came in such short notice, he would like have called her before take off but she wouldn’t answer.

Bonnan walk along his men readying for the mission, he had lost the yearn for the rush of combat but he was older and more mature, now he carry the responsibility to succeed on this mission and bring them back home.

Bonnan- gear up men (checking his watch), drop in fifteen minutes.

Approach to Stone, notice his bloodshot eyes and appear in bad shape, he could feel bourbon on his breath.

Bonnan- have you ever been in a covert operation.

Stone- Nam does that answer your question.

Bonnan- you don’t look in good shape.

Stone- I’ll be alright.

The green light went off on the dark hot metal tube, Bonnan got up and suck his gut.

Bonnan- alright men, we’re gonna jump on 2 minutes, lieutenant Dillon is on point, Taylor find a nice spot on the trees and keep your eyes open, (pointing at taylor), Carbajal and the rest keep up with me.

Russian MIG patrol the area and Brandson swallow the lamp with fear as the RWR (radar warning receiver) show the frequency of two fighters on his tail, Brandson glimpse at the copilot and set his radar jammer to fool the dual mode, single time sharing transmitter on board the MIG-29s, set the intercom to the sergeant in the cargo area.

Brandson- we got bogies.

-you want to abort.

Brandson- negative, tell every body we’re gonna comb the hard deck.

-Roger

Bonnan held tight to his gear as the rough winds at 250 ft high buffeted and tremble the HERCULES, Brandson held tight the command gear and kept his eyes fix in the night vision display, fog allow visibility of 200 ft., he was relief when the MIGS on pursue didn’t track his plane.

Brandson- give them go.

-Roger.

The green light went off and every one got up and ready to jump, the rubber inflatable boat was drop, the platoon of Bonnan were thrust on to the air, Bonnan felt the chute pulling him as the noise of the HERCULES fade in the dark horizon, the fog was so thick couldn’t see the water until felt the splash of and bubbles of the cold water dragging him down, unharness his chute and paddle up, grasp for air as he look around and saw the boat andtwo more of his platoon getting to the boat.

Bonnan felt relief as he run his hand over his face to wash away the beads of water, Carbajal turn on the outboard engine as the last of his team was pick up and all lean forward as the small boat bounce in the waves

After a ride of twenty minute ride Bonnan took the GPS (global position system), signal to Carbajal to turn off the engine and the sea was calm, water waves carry the raft, the platoon stay quietly as the night fog cover the waters like a white cocoon and delivering a chilling effect to the men in the raft but they were custom to the cold icy waters and short of hypothermia the platoon was ready for action, the slim dot of light appear in the horizon, Bonnan wave at Carbajal to move into that direction.

The hum of the diesel engine and the stench of burn fuel with fish fill the air, the Bonnan put the night goggles and look up the deck of the old trawler, he saw a man waving them in but he seem a bit impatient, Carbajal place the raft along side the ship and ledder of ropes dangle, some one said "quick!", Bonnan wave every one to climb up, when Dillon boarded the deck a men yank him and he try not to get mad while Stone struggle to climb up, Dillon was yank to the bridge "buddy, take it esay, come on" he saw the skipper although he didn’t look nothing like a captain, he point to the radar and show a dot sprinting toward the ship.

Dillon- what!, they pick our ship up.

-yes, military.

Dillon- okay, (rush to the deck).

Stone was looking down the ledder.

Dillon- major, there’s a Navy ship on intercept course.

Bonnan- come on, hurry.

The sailors yank Carbajal, Taylor and others of the platoon to a pool of fishes, the raft was deflated and sunk as the las bubbles of the boat disappear the sailors exhale.

Suddenly a North Korean patrol boat appear in the horizon, they focus a large reflector and the sailors wave to the boat as they come up closer, the captain got out of the bridge and wave to the patrol boat, slowly the sailors onboard the boat scan the trawler, after few minutes a voice yell " all Okay!" and the boat disappearing the fog.

Bonnan climb up felt disgussted by the grease and stench of fishes, felt the boat slowly set in motion and all of the team members exhale. Taylor wanted to remove the ski mask but they warn not to in order to conceal identity because it could be use by any intelligence officer, Bonnan lean on the deck and hoped he get back, he could still vividly the night pop the question, her frown was engraved on his mind for a very long time, she didn’t gave the benefit of the doubt, after minute of silent she begin nagging about her job and his job, the little time they would spend, she was the only thing he only wanted, it had been year and half.

The lights of the city slowly vanish the fog and the skipper approach Bonnan.

-you gotta go now, police in the pier.

Bonnan nodded and wave his men.

Bonnan- guys we’re splitting.

- you go south to bay point, woman waiting to for you.

Bonnan- okay (waving at the Stone), do you know this woman we suppose to meet at the bay point.

Stone- yeah (pout).

Bonnan- listen, this men are my responsibility (struggle not to get angry), if you get us into a shit hole, (pause), I swear you’ll regret ever knowing me.

Stone- this people is good, tust me.

They suit up for diving, the breathing gear that cycle the air to avoid any bubble hit the surface, cover their rifles with condoms and check all the equipment they carry, the splashes of water and Bonnan shudder but he toughneded up, the sailors and the captain watch them disappear in the pitch cold black water and wave them off, the water was polluted and thick, they push green stuff out the way, Dillon grunt as he felt the things stumble his way, he hated scuba diving at night in polluted waters, Stone sruggle to keep up with the team, he heard some jokes about his alcoholic habbits, felt his lungs running out of air and hyperventilation.

Carbajal wave to Dillon, signaling up and nodded.

Dillon slowly surface, put the night goggles and saw some one in the dark, he couldn’t tell if was woman or men, Dillon got down and they couldn’t talk through the cumbersome visors, Bonnan signal some thing Dillon couldn’t understand, Dillon signal one, walking, that’s all.

Bonnan hated to think if he was leading his men to an anbush, approach Stone and drag him up.

Bonnan- go and ID (removing his mask), the civilian.

Stone- alright (breathing) okay (waving).

As he walk toward her felt the gear getting heavier, he could speak the language but felt exhausted and could not speak a word, stop and lean to recover.

Stone- are you Lian ho?

She hurriedly nodded and approach him.

Bonnan saw Stone giving the thumbs up and the platoon surface, took tactical position Dillon cooridnating their double cover position as they silently scout the beach but all they heard was the cool breese swaying the trees and waves coming and going, Dillon felt his lungs pumping air and adrenaline running on his vains as took cover behind a tree and waved his men to cover flanks and move in.

Stone- Kim ho’s daughter.

Bonnan- major Bonnan US ARMY.

Stone- take us to him.

Bonnan nodded and wave his men to move, they put the night goggles and move through the thick foilage.

Taylor saw a nice spot on a tall Ginko, Taylor was so disgussted by the smell of the tree but he pull a small mask and put on, climb up and positioned right in front of the view where he could cover the hole village and the field all the way to the beach.

The small house was dark although there was light bulb on in the wester corner facing the village and about two blocks off the road, Bonnan and his men surround the village, slowly and carefully collapse inside the house.

Dillon- west flank is clear.

Taylor- Roger D you’re clear, my scope is clear.

Carbajal- north flank is clear.

Stone sat and contemplate the small bottle of bourbon, his prison, his momentary freedom, his own pains and fears, all down the bottle, grunt and felt hard holding to his nerves, struggle no to brake down.

Bonnan enter the room and suspiciously look around the room.

Carbajal posted guard outside the door, the platoon surround the walls outside the house.

Bonnan- where’s him?

-he’s late.

Bonnan- what about her?

- she won’t talk much.

Bonnan was nervous, the NKA or police could drop by any time, his men were in hostile territory and didn’t trust the locals, you never know what might happen next.

Taylor mike of his radio was strapped to his throat, it was cumbersome but it allow him to talk through radio without making any sound, saw the head lights of car in the horizon.

Taylor- we got a car coming down the road.

Bonnan- stand by, (glimpse at Stone), Dillon take Abdul and Nelson cover the western flank of the road before that cars come in.

Dillon- Roger.

Wind rise up dust through the dark and sandy streets, covering each other as they move through the huts and houses of the village, Dillon with his finger on the trigger heard steps inside the houses and felt compel to fire but nothing happen, they got to the road entrance and Dillon signal to halt.

Dillon- D here we’re at road junction, are we clear to cross it.

Taylor- Roger, you’re clear.

Dillon- Roger (waving his men to move in).

Cross the road and took cover behind some shrubs aside the road .

A minute later the car got to the road junction and turn east, Bonnan wave his platoon to cover the houses surrounding the main house and get ready.

Bonnan- T were's the car heading ?

Taylor- is heading toward you, it just turn off the lights.

Bonnan- Dillon double back to the village and take cover our flank.

Dillon signal to follow his lead and get up, move swiftly across the road and enter the village.

Stone- tell your boys to take it easy, we don't need a blood bath.

Bonnan- neither do I but I want to be in the safe side.

The driver open the door and foot steps of were heard, Dillon with his night goggles saw the uniform of the soldier, Taylor notice the boots and they could only mean they were NKA.

Taylor- this is T the driver is NKA.

Dillon- D confirm.

Bonnan- wait for our men to get out the car and clear, then take him out.

Taylor- Roger.

Stone- they might be on our side.

Bonnan- you said there locals on our side but you ( his voice took a tone of anger), never said any thing about NKA, beside locals I can trust, (halt and struggle grunting), I will never trust a Gook.

Stone turn toward the Lian and nodded.

Stone- are the soldiers with your father good or bad.

She shriek and look up Bonnan.

Lian- no.

Bonnan- T is our men out yet.

Taylor- stand by.

The rear door of the car open and a smaller and heavier men got out.

Taylor- we got a man fitting the discription of our man.

Bonnan- take out the escort.

Taylor- Roger.

Two shots ring in the dead of the night, some rumors were heard around the thing walls of the houses and huts, the driver felt to the floor with nasty wound in his neck, the other guard's head was blown, the elder man was paralyze, Dillon grab him and yank him inside the house, Abdul and Nelson post guard on the main door.

Bonnan- T status ?

Taylor- two bad guys down, every thing is clear.

Stone got up and approach the man, glance on his eyes and hug him, Bonnan swallow a lumpof relief.

Bonnan- we got our man, let's get ready to move.

Two shots ring in the dead of the night, some rumors were heard around the thing walls of the houses and huts, the driver felt to the floor with a nasty wound in his neck, the other guard's head was blown, the elder man was paralyze, Dillon grab him and yank him inside the house, Abdul and Nelson post guard on the main door.

Abdul set up the sat link and begin com-link protocol, dial access code for satellite defense net link, able to send or contact a person any where in the world, the protocol parameters specify destination and access codes.

Abdul- FERRET, YANKEE, ALPHA, coming over.

Colonel Duncan was standing by the satllite communications room, a young corporal felt uncomfortable, she felt the elbow of the sergeant next to her manning his station, he glimpse and he whisper "some is going", look up her monitor and felt the eyes of the colonel darting at her, suddenly transponder codes for a sat-com-link appear on the screen, she turn around and glance the colonel.

-Sr. Com link incoming, transponder codes match.

Duncan- code words?

- FERRET (pressing her headset), YANKEE,ALPHA.

Duncan- patch it on the PA.

-yes Sr.

Duncan- BROADWAY, BRAVO, RED.

Abdul look up and Bonnan took the handset.

Bonnan- FERRET SITREP, pick up confirm, express delivery on rout point ECHO-21, lift point at DELTA -51.

Duncan- original lift at COBRA-41

Bonnan- negative transport unavailable, unable to proceed to COBRA-41.

Duncan- Roger, lift at DELTA -51, at 2300, 0100 and 0200.

Bonnan- Roger confirm on JTAC to ECHO relay.

Duncan- Roger, good luck and out.

Bonnan hand back the headset and glance Stone standing next to Kim.

Stone- what's going on?

Bonnan- we don't have the raft any more, we can't make it to the first rendezvous point, we gonna be pick up by a chopper at DELTA-51, we have three windows, 2300, 0100 and 0200.

Stone- how far?

Bonnan- about 30 miles out, my men can make it but (checking his wrist watch), can you make it?

Stone- I’ll be dead of hypothermia any way.

Swimming in the cold waters of the south bay of Suwon was hard, Bonnan led the platoon through the choppy waves in the first mile, the sea calm down as the shores disappear in the horizon but the fog cover the platoon like a white silent wall, Dillon took the lead and heard the faint noise of a diesel engine.

Dillon- ship coming.

Bonnan over look one detail that the North Korean had lay out a net of sonar arrays in the sea floor, just off the shores, the monitor station on Suwon naval base relay coridnates and dispatch a patrol boat to the area.

The fog limit vision to few feet, the lights of the boat pan around the perimeter, men on the deck search for the intruders, the radar of the ship was clean but the captain didn't trust his old radar, they've known to be very unreliable, the 10 Kw of power radar was so strong on the feed back it could confuse a ship with a Pelikan in short distance, the low end of the frequency spectrum was too weak to get good reading in short range.

Bonnan saw the search lights in the surface and held his breath as he handed the breathing tube to Kim, the porpeller running on idle was sending lots of water their way, hoping they gone soon every one stood still.

Dillon surface as the boat was cover by the waves and the platoon slowly emerge, Bonnan urge them to thrust ahead because they were running late and the water was getting cold.

A MARINE CH-53 SUPER STALLION slolwly cross North Korean air space just above the waves, the pilot cruise at 20 knots, hoping the enemy radar would confuse his craft by a vessel, the copilot was compel to pull the dare devil, they’ve done some incredible operations and maneuvers during Desert Storm, the lieutenant at the pilot seat loved the challenge, with night goggles the copilot scan the waves while lieutenant Clifton checked the time.

Clifton- we're on time.

- may be they stop at the drive through window for some Chinese.

Clifton- ‘hope they bring some egg rolls with them.

-wait a minute, faint but confirm heat source.

Clifton- you better be right or is a long swim to Iwakuni.

- I thought maybe we check out the commodations of the North Korean's motel six.

Clifton- hey that’s not a bad idea.

- confirm fourteen men at sea.

Clifton- it better be them, our club is very exclusive and all the seats are reserved.

The hydraulic lift slowly pick up one by one all of the members and come about, Clifton as the chopper safely made it out of the North Korean air space and took rout toward the refuel point.

Bonnan's platoon and Kim ho were whisk to a C-141B took off toward Washington for debriefing, the squint line of light blinded the men door of the STARLIFTER as the sun light vanish the dark and walked down the ladder, Bonnan stretched his shoulders, sleeping in the hot metal tube of the plane was far very uncomfirtable, took breath and smell the air fill with jet fuel, turn his frown and squinted eyes to see two F-16s with their afterburners slowlly rise up and vanish in the blue sky, checked his watch and was still on the wrong time zone.

CIA director, the NSA (national security advisor) and US arm forces commander general Anders have the priviilige to conduct derbrief.

The men were taken to an empty hangar to Andrews AB, every one was exhausted after the long filght and getting use the new time zone, general Anders was the first to arrive that noon, his guard open the gate and saw the somber faces of the men, the old scientist show an old wrinkle face.

Bonnan got up and salute while his platoon rise to salute.

Bonnan- general.

Duncan- general (while nodded).

Few minutes later Woodward walked in, the NSA was the last, William Colby took seat next to Woodward, along side general Anders.

Colby put his reading glasses and wished there was boom box playing an Italian Concerto to sooth his nerves.

Colby- Mr. Stone you organize the operation from Japan and Seoul.

Stone- yes.

Colby- prior to the incursion to North Korea, while you were putting together this operation, did you cause any event or action that could count the US Government as liable for this action.

Stone- no, I follow the procedure guidlines (glimpse at Woodward), for possible deniability on covert operations.

Colby- did you keep your immediate superior inform?

Stone- every step of the operation was closely suprevise.

Colby- very well (sifting through papers), let’s continue.

Duncan was question about his awareness of the operations, the reports he file to his immediate superiors, Bonnan and his men were question on his procedures, decisions and details on contacts with the locals, Anders was interested knowing North Korean weapons capabilities, Kim Ho was question for 12 hours after Bonnan, Duncan, Stone and the platoon were dismiss, later Kim Ho was taken to Langley and question for the next month.

Anders was alarmed when Duncan amongst the intelligence officials in charge of debriefing Kim Ho, Duncan was as astunned as well, Anders took a shot of bourbon and grasp his forefront.

Anders- just in case I will recall all leaves for the holidays.

Duncan- we have to keep this information classify to the highest level.

Anders- who in your team knows and who they report?

Duncan- don’t worry Im in top of things.

-don't worry I´m on top of things

A day later NKA guards found the daughter dead of Kim Ho, it wasn't until three days later they realize she committed suicide and probably Kim deserted, the defense minister received the reports of the naval activites in the area, put the two together and come to the conclusion that Kim Ho had betray his country.

Enrage took a large shot of rice wine and slammed the bottle in the table, the servant flinch and glimpse the anger on his eyes blurt and grin.

Sun Yongee glance at general Tung chief of the intelligence and general of the secret police.

Wave the servant to leave the room and waited for her to shut the door

Sun- go to his village and get all the information on this mess.

Of course that meant torture and murder of hundreds of civilians.

Tung- yes comrade (grin and nodde).

Tung was a wealthy man because he ran the smuggling technology and conduct dirty business in Japan, Tung got up and walked for the door, with his limping cause by a stray artillery shell, a couple of scars on his chin and cold dark eyes.

Sun- you don't think some one inside the secret police knows or is involved on this.

Tung clinch his jaw in anger and his squint eyes froze, pout and turn around, thinking he was insinuating he might be a traitor.

Tung- this isn’t a insinuation.

Sun- no comrade is just he couldn't have gotten out without help.

Tung- if there's a moll I should know soon.

When Colby brief the President, was so determine to let the world know the weapons capability of the bastards to the world but Colby caution him the information most kept under exterme confidence, Colby suggested to give cordinates to the pilots of U-2 planes flying for the UN weapons inspector, President Andrews was please on the discreet leak of information, sure enough a week later UN delegates were knocking at the door of the North Koreans with the exact locations and type of structures where they house the nuclear, chemical and biological weapons, they conceed and deny the access to their facilities.

Later that day Yongee meet with premier Kim Wonhi to discuss the UN demands to dismantle their weapons program.

At the luxurious palace in Pyongyang Wonhi enjoy of nights of parties with many women, distingly enjoy the pleasuer of western women, his happiest pass time was driving expensive cars.

The obese men spend better time of the day eating, seating in a stylish sofa glance at Yongee.

Yongee- the Americans want to destroy our weapons programs, we can't let them dismantle programs that cost billions and took so many years.

Wonhi- I am aware of that but we can stole them not for long, eventualy we’ll yield.

Yongee- without nuclear weapons, chemical and biological weapons, we won't be so much as a threat to South Korea, you have see mighty power of the American war machine, only nuclear weapons will keep them at bay.

Wonhi- this is a good chance to profit, army provisions for low this year, we could trade, is a good chance to make concessions

Yongee- I advice against it.

Wonhi- how many nuclear weapons we have ready.

Yongee- 10 SCUD with nuclear warheads, 20 small missiles, about 100 tons of Anthrax, 1 VX gas.

Wonhi- we can still hide one or two labs and keep a small production.

Yongee- premier comrade I think is time you oughta know.

Wonhi- what I oughta know.

Yongee- last week a scientist deserted to the US, took with him all of our weapons development program, that's why they know every location, our technics, doctrine, their analyst can now predict places, facilities and capabilities, it is only a matter of time for all of our programs been dismantle.

Wonhi- so what you advice?

Yongee- threat to go to war if any of the our nuclear, chemical or biological are violated.

Wonhi- I have to think about it, I don't think the Americans yield.

Yongee- premier comrade we have to show pride and power, our country is falling apart, without backing from the Soviet Union we stand alone against the Americans and South Korea.

Wonhi- China will provide with weapons, fuel, ammo and food.

Yongee- China can only go so far, they depend on American markets without the western market China is as stuck well as we are.

Wonhi- we can't go to war, food is scarce, we need to wait at least year or two to stock up on food and come up with a plan.

Yongee- yes premier comrade, as always you're wise.

The car driven to the main gate and as Yongee walked the steps look back and saw the clouds glooming over the captial’s palace he knew that he had to act alone and bring his country together and reunited both countries, it was his last chance, with the UN threat to demolish their mass destruction weapons, the bad weather have scarce the food without Soviet Union support and Chinese support fading away, it was the only choice while his country retain the power to kick the Americans out of South Korea

The old captain sat at alone on his chair and took a sip of coffee, look at an old picture of his wife and he knew it would be the last, grabbed the envelope off the table, checked his watch and walked the out of the house, there saw two officers waiting for him by an old Russian car, as he was driven through the streets of Wonsan saw his poor people, and though what his country needed was the reunification of his country and the American puppets, the way they see it, reunification of both Koreas was the liberation of American imperialism, had taken years of planning and through the network of spies had achieve advantage and time was now, his country was confident reunification was imminent, they didn’t have in mind a peaceful reunion, that way they also would become American puppets. Some thing told him this mission was his last and felt as if started a new one road.

By the piers the officers and crew of his boat stood tough, not the image of old movies but reliable and he trust them, look at the horizon over the clouds and smoke, leaving the port saw the other TANGO class, the NKA latest acquire two TANGO class at knock down prices from Russia, his submarine stood still as the waves hit the sub, the slick submarine set sail quietly through the crowded bay, he look from the top of the sail lots of fishing vessels, some wave good bye but most show fear.

Kim Sean was one the most experience NAVY captain and that’s why the high command trusted to be the man to fire the first shot for the reunification.

As soon the sub clear the bay he order to head one-six-zero, full a head flank, depth 200 ft., sat at the command chair on the bridge, the crew knew was time to open the orders and was anxious to know where and what they were ask to do, his crew was loyal knew they would do any thing for the cause.

Open the envelop and begin reading.

Captain Kim Sean

The reunification of our country will be a reality, the operation will start with the first hour of the American holiday of Thanks Giving.

Your boat will be the first to carry an important task for the success of our reunification.

The American NAVY fleet will be on patrol on the coast of South Korea puppet country, in case of war the US NAVY carrier battle group will conduct attacks on our strategic and tactical forces, later will escort a MARINE landing task force.

Your mission is to destroy the US carrier battle group, for that purpose the your submarine is armed with a E-53 nuclear torpedo, this powerful weapon will help our cause to destroy their ships allowing time for our soldier defeat the Americans and reclaim what is rightfully our.

The success of our reunification depends on your success

We trust you will be successful, good luck.

Kim's eyes show the surprise that draw the attention of the faces in the bridge, look around and rush to the torpedo room, creep up as fast he could through the narrow hatches, the torpedo room was old and hot, three men lean to the walls, he saw on a rack the torpedo with a small fan surrounded by a rim on the nose, it was the sign the Americans and NATO use to put on radioactive material, Kim saw the torpedo and his mouth begin to tremble, the most powerful weapon he ever saw, his eyes fluctuate and his hands couldn't hold still, look at the senior chief and ask him for a cigarette, the chief slightly annoy but compel to satisfy his captain, yank the pack of cheap cigarettes and handed one to him, Kim often smoke American cigarettes and felt the difference but soon felt the smoke soothing his fear and started to think clearly.

Was early morning on OSAN AB, the weather had worsen in lately, forecast call for light rain the afternoon and snow fall by the evening, a week away of Thanks giving the feeling of longing of home was common amongst the officers in the base.

Captain Richmond MacMichaels drove his 93 CAMARO to the booth, corporal Steven knew him and without asking for ID let him in, parked the car in the lot and got out, look around and took a deep breath and even though the weather was cold it didn’t feel like home.

Enter the main building where on 7 February of 1952 captain Millet took charge in a bayonet size company against the NKA, he won the medal of honor. Today home of the7th Air Force,

As Richmond walked to the locker room, he saw colonel Pane coming his way with major Jannis, he saluted Pane and grin.

Pane- I have bad news captain.

MacMichaels- Sr.

Pane- all high ranking officers leaves have cancel for Thanks giving.

MacMichaels- Sr., any special reasons why.

Pane- I don’t write the orders, this came from high commad.

MacMichels- Sr.

Captain MacMichaels walked to the flight board, saw his name and thought of his wife and two kids, another holiday without them, she wanted a husband that work 9 to 5 but that wasn’t his way, could still remember vividly the arguments, she didn’t ask to divorce her because of the children, it some times feel worst than divorce.

That night a US radar satellite spy pass over the Korean peninsula, the NSA had requested COMIREX (committee of intelligence resource exploitation) the need updated pictures of North Korean capabilities, at same time CIA had requested few snapshots of the DMZ (demilitarize zone), the intelligence expert prefer CCD images but due to the poor weather they assigned a radar satellite for more accuracy, soon after the satellite relay the pictures to Sunnyvale, after that send to CIA head quarters in Langley.

Benjamin Rhodes picture analyst awaited the pictures anxiously, as soon they were uploaded on to computers company, he begin to analyze the pictures, Rhodes face a tedious and challenging task.

Spy satellites can cover thousands of miles in on pass, North Korean knew they were object satellite espionage and had develop ingenious ideas to foil satellites, the DMZ was big and analyze each square meter took time, usually to analyze an area that size took weeks, putting an entire team to it, but normally only few guys do the job, to carry out this task may take at least a month, period that seem too long if swift action and deliver is necessary.

The morning was rainy at Langley, slick roads had cause few accidents but the radio and TV forecast call for a clear afternoon, the people started to parking their cars and the working day was about to start.

Senior chief analyst of northern east Asia Nick D. Christensen parked his car and scare of the light drizzle turn to rain run to the gate, Show his badge at the guard and took the elevator, as he got out saw Rhodes waiting for him, his tied hanging loose, his shirt wrinkle, his eyes showed tiredness.

Nick- what are you doing here, you suppose to be off.

Ben- Mr. Christensen, last night we got the pictures from the DMZ.

Nick- and you stay all night looking at them.

Ben- yes Sr. and found some thing you ought a see right away.

Nick- (annoy) don't tell me.

The advantage of the latest pulse Doppler radar provides photo quality pictures, based in a very slow radar pulse, and a high resolution Doppler field, the latest synthetic aperture could take picture quality images, then collected by a CCD (couple charge device) sensor, enhance by a 64 bit DSP (digital signal processor), in the CIA computer network the images were process by a GUI (graphical user interface) version adapted to run under ADA (military standard computer language), the graphic resolution of 256 was enhance over to giving fascinating color quality and accuracy.

Nick saw the pictures in the computer monitor but he couldn't make sense.

Nick- all I see is a bunch of tanks.

Ben- Sr. look at this.

with the pointer moved the screen up, then zoom to the blank brown field.

Nick- so all I see the is a wet field.

Ben- Sr. the pictures were taken around noon North Korean time right.

Nick- So.

Ben- Intel reports the Gooks move their tanks only at night.

Nick- unless they are doing some war maneuvers.

Ben- negative, checked their tactical position (Nick nodded), their positions tells me are for a possible build up.

Nick- you can’t be serious (with insinuating tone).

Ben- you bet (pause and note Nick’s face fill with amazement), their artillery and tank positions confirm they are not conducting maneuver.

Nick- very good, I’ll take this to the director.

The night was about to fall but the sky was dark since the afternoon, General Rick Heimer stood night alone watching at a table size map of the DMZ, small size tanks and soldiers lay out on top according deployment position, his heart and mind belong to battle, in the western wing of the room was desktop computer on a desk, the monitor display game of strategic war, the old red face of Rick show intrigue, his white short hair made him look older than he was.

What are you thinking of Charlie.

suddenly awaken from his day dream by the scream of his wife.

I'll be waiting in bed.

Rick- be right there honey.

Open the back door to the backyard and saw the star filled sky, all quiet and clear, the snow cover the roofs of all houses, he felt the cold of the night.

Suddenly some thing came to his mind and look up, the clouds threat to cover the clear night sky, Charlie's in on the move Rick though.

The Pentagon's offices of the chief in command of the general of the US ARMY were luxurious and plague with secretaries, the job of the highest ranking officer of the US ARMY wasn't easy.

General Hugh Anders born in Clearwaters PA of middle income parents, study on the local high school and played fooball in the team, when he got to the age to go the college he decided to go the Annapolis academy and soon he found his future there, spend 2 tours of Vietnam as major and further promoted to colonel after Grenada, when Anders was promoted to replace Colin Powell he knew were some big shoes to fill, he call his wife 'cause at the time he was in command of US ARMY forces in Europe, even though at time he doubt that would pull through so far it has been quiet a ride and no one has complain.

Anders walked through the lobby and saluted and nodded as all his subordinates greeted him, follow by colonel Michael E. Parish, enter the office and sat without saying a word, Anders knew the US arm services were riden with sex scandals of many of sort.

Anders grin as he look at the daily schedule and was the promotion of four generals.

Anders- Mike did you see the schedule appointments?

Mike- yeah, not pretty and not easy.

Anders- we have scandals every where and now this (rolling up his eyes).

Mike- open the list.

Anders took the leather cover book of legal size, it look like a general ledger rather than high school book, Anders sift through the pages and got to the page under the alphabetic order of Sophie M. McNeelly, lieutenant general for the past 2 years, chief in command of the logistic command at fort Bragg NC.

Anders- you ever met general McNeelly.

Mike- a couple of times during Desert Shield.

Anders- any impressions?

The conversation was interuped by a sweet looking, too sweet to be soldiers secretary, sporting a blue office uniform, she carry a tray with coffee, set it up on a table by the bar, Anders- thank you Annie, (she smile and walked out of the door).

As soon as she shut the door both got up and walked for the table, Anders like his coffee black most of the times, eccept at night, Mike pour coffee on his favorit mug, sugar and cream.

Mike- she's tough and efficient.

Anders- she done a good job during Desert Shield.

Mike- her staff execute and outstanding job.

Anders- she's up for promotion.

Mike- I know.

Anders- she had commanded two logistic units with good results and the only higher promotion that we could issue is the command of a combat unit.

Mike- I repeat myself, is not easy.

Anders- there has never given the command of a combat division size unit to a woman.

Mike- I don't object but there would be some voices in the senate that might have some thing to say against.

Anders- to hell with senators.

Mike- but every one is gonna say what's going wrong with the US ARMY, now we let a woman command a combat division.

Anders- I think it would do a lot of good, the press might print some thing about the US ARMY for a change.

Mike- yeah temporally (his mouth pout watching his coffee's smoke fade away) in the long run may make matter worst, you know there's a lot of people against this thing of a liberal ARMY.

Anders- but remarks like that is giving a bad reputation to our ARMY.

Mike- no our soldiers are telling us women can't serve with men in the same ARMY.

Anders knew there was some thing to his thoughts, he didn reply, if his soldiers would think that way it was his job to chape their minds, change the not only their reputations but the their way of thinking, may be was the toughest challenge yet, he thought that Powell and Schwarzkof amongst other great generals won wars and left their mark, he had the feeling that his accomplishments might be more modest and in any thought harder to accomplish than wining the war, he thought of the glory days after the Korean war, those days no body worry or dare to talk about gays in the military or sending women in combat, all you have to worry was the Soviets, these days the cold war seem out right a dream, good guys after bad guys, right now you can't make tails of this whole mess.

Ben and Nick were at director of the CIA office, the secretary at the front desk smile as she led them to through a lobby to the luxurious office, CIA director James Woodward was comfortably sitting behind the mahagony desk with the sound of Bethoven in the back ground.

Nick shooke hands and wave to Ben.

Woodward- so this is Ben Rhodes, you caught the North Koreans tanks readying to move.

Nick- yes Sr.

Ben- Ben Rhodes good to meet you.

Nick- yeah well it seems those Gooks in North Korea might have trouble in mind.

Woodward- Nick show me those pictures.

Nick- Ben spend all night making sense of them (open his briefcase, took the folder out and handed to him).

Woodward grab the reading glasses and put them on.

Ben- as you see NKA tanks and mirror stations have violated the DMZ.

Woodward- is not first time (glimpse at Ben), NKA tanks violate the rules of the armistice.

Ben- Sr. if you look at the fourth picture and you'll see supply vehicles on convoys, if they were harrasing our troops or running drills they wouldn’t deploy their supply convoys.

Woodward- you don't put a condom unless you’re gonna fuck.

Ben- unless is real provockation they might be preparing for war.

Woodward- they wouldn't be hidding with camouflage if they meant to harras ours.

Ben- the thought cross my mind, why hide a harrassment.

Woodward- I’ll take it to the NSA (national security advisor), Ben (glance at Ben and Nick), Nick good job, and you two are coming with me.

After the meeting Ben walked to his desk and sat exicted, Nick approach and glance at the sketches he wrote.

Ben- I feel we gotta do some thing.

Nick- you heard the director he’ ll take it to the director.

Ben- have you ever heard of Pearl Harbor, we have the japs codes and we didn't warn them, how about Iraq invade Kuwait, we knew the bastard of Hussein would move against Kuwait for month but did we do any thing, no we just let him walk into Kuwait.

Nick- but if we do some thing then we will violating rules of national security policy.

Ben- there’s 37,000 Americans in Soth Korea, when the Gooks start dropping SCUDS with NBC (nuclear, bioligical, chemical).

Nick pace reluctantly and frown, as much he hated to be tide to bureaucracy but he would be violating the trust of the agency, classify as a traitor.

Nick- I knew a buddy of mine at Fort Hood in Texas, I’ll call him.

Was about dawn at Camp Walker South Korea, general Heimer couldn't fall asleep, looked at his wife and admire her, the fait she had on him, follow him around the world for the last 27 years.

The phone ring, she just turn around in her sleep, he lift the handset and whisper.

Heimer- hello.

Alright I'll be over.

Taegu MC (military community) was operating on skeleton crew for the night, general Heimer was driven in a HMMWV (high-mobility multipurpose wheeled vehicle, "Humvee"), the guard at the gate look at both faces in the dark.

Guard- general.

He nodded, the vehicle stopped by the main entrance of the facility, colonel Fuller, major Mills and sergeant Hardin stood waiting for him, they saluted to Heimer.

Fuller- general.

Hiemer- colonel.

Fuller- do you mind telling me what the hell is going?(sounding arrogant).

Hiemer- Sr. sergeant Hardin got a call with news from a contact in the US that can confirm there's the possibility the North Koreans are preparing to strike.

Hiemer glimpse at the colonel then at Hardin, excitement race through his vanes.

Hardin sat in front of Heimer's desk, the lights were bright and the radio was playing South Korean traditional music, he look at the old man and saw the scars of battle on his face, the years of war on his tired eyes, not knowing what this meant to the old general.

Heimer- alright son what's going on?

Hardin- a buddy of mine call me from Fort Hood Texas, he told me that he knows a guy in the CIA and committee and act of espionage to deliver the news that LACROSSE satellites found the Gooks are building to strike soon.

Heimer- are you sure son.

Harding- I know my buddy he wouldn't lie or call me if he didn't trust his source.

Heimer- you've done good son, get some sleep (thinking he was in badly need of a cigarette).

Hardin got up look with fear at the old man, his eyes fix and wrinkle forefront.

Harding- I don't think I can Sr.

Heimer- try anyway.

The young sergeant left the room, colonel Fuller and major Mills enter the room, both with fear and confusion on their eyes.

Heimer- awake the highest Intel officer I want fresh data (got up mumbling, his voice pick up) we're sleeping on a time bomb.

Fuller- General Norton have restricted Intel orders go only through him, Sr. it's to diminish the risk of security bridge.

Heimer- damned the world is about to go to hell and I gotta deal with an asshole.

Fuller- we can suggest the AIR FORCE to fly a SR-71 over early today.

Heimer look at the map of the DMZ with intrigue and excitement, Mills and Fuller share looks of awkwardness, the silent was broke.

Hiemer- who do you know in AIR FORCE intelligence.

Fuller- Sr. general Jackson chief of AF Intel could order a fly over if we hinted him the possibility the DMZ is about turn hot.

Hiemer- fine but don't reveal what we know or how we know.

Fuller- aye Sr.

Fuller and Mills got out the room and look at each other.

Mills- Doug what's with him?

Fuller- he fought in the Korean war, was a young lieutenant declare MIA (missing in action), few miles east of the Inchon shores, two days later days later an informer declare him a POW (prisoner of war) fortunately the 24 division MARINE Corps stroke the camp where he was held and free but tales call that he went through hell during those two days in that camp, this means a lot to him.

Seoul was heavily prowl by police due to curfew, the street light were shut and most of the building's street lights were off, the snowy streets and roof made it all the more darker, the smell of ginkgo trees had disappear and the Chungang university was dirty but desolated, the old Olympic stadium was dirty from the previous soccer match.

Fifteen miles north of Seoul across the Han river, near Kumchon, at a building of modest appearance, the second floor apartment was well furnish and warmly arrange, the coach, center table and dinner room were arrange more like American homes rather of Korean homes, a large screen TV stood in living room, the pedestal lights gave an air of luxury, at the bedroom the large bed was centered with corner lights, small desk in front of the bed with reading light.

Lee Chong straddle on top of him, kissed softly his eyes and admire her reflection on his blue eyes, her long black hair spill over her breast, her tiny white body was tender and soft, her small breast had rather large nipples, and softly curved face with sweet eyes, he kiss her month softly and she closed her eyes, he rocked her back as she arch it and she felt his heart beat race as both body pull closer, she moan as he kissed her neck, she whisper.

Lee- don't stop.

he felt her hair wrapped around him, then pulled her closer with his strong arms, she groan loud as he churned back and forth, she pull tight and groan, she a fell orgasm coming in her stronger as he peak felt her nails buried on his back and he grabbed her butt, when he climax she scream of pleasure and exhale, he close his eyes and lay in bed, she look at his boyish face and kiss his lips softly, follow down to his neck chest, his flat stomach, he was about to fall asleep, when she looked at the clock on the wall.

Lee- is late I gotta go.

He open his eyes and glance at her rushing for her stalking.

You wanna go skiing tomorrow?

Lee- sorry Max I gotta meet some friends.

She hurriedly put her clothes and kiss him good bye, he was about to fade asleep when he felt the slam at the door, open his eyes and grabbed the cordless, dial the number.

Max- hello it's me.

-Is she there?

Max- no I'm alone, she just left.

-we have to meet, there's a student riot tomorrow.

Max- usual place.

-don't take your car, take the sub and watch your tail.

Max- you got it.

The traffic in Washington was a killer as usual, the radio forecast had missed the entire weather for the afternoon, as the CAPRICE limousine rode through the gates of the Pentagon the wind of the Potomac blew the flag poles, the guards saw the car drive away, general Anders crossed his legs and check his watch. A gold SEIKO her daughter gave him on his 50th birthday, he own a ROLEX which was more expensive but for sentimental value he always wear the Japanese watch.

The limo drove through captiol hill as the crowd of the press had gather but they were not waiting for Anders' limo, Mike rolled down the window and saw the media expecting some one.

Out of the halls where the most powerful Government in the world a couple of men sporting $1,000 suits, exotic leather brief cases and shiny black shoes, they were follow by the mess of lights, microphones and cameras...

The press had pay little attention to the car, the driver opened the door and they enter.

Senator Jack T. Myers of Colorado chairman of the senate house of defence committee, conservative group of the liberal party, he thought that these days defence buisness aint what use to be, although there several coorporate interest in the defence business.

Jack was as tall as a Basket Ball player, in fact played a couple of years in college, he always kept in shape, but the age had gain on him in politics.

The younger man was Howard R Man, senator of MAS, the newest member of the senate house of defence committe.

Jack found comfortable in the warmth interior of the limo, put on smile, his smile didn't look fake but didn't look friendly, Howard grin, Jack wave toward the younger man.

Jack- general Anders, our new member Howard Man, (pout his mouth), we all are gonna miss senator Chase but young blood is good.

Man, Anders and Parish shook hands.

Anders- coffee?

Howard- no

Jack- our conversation is gonna be brief.

Anders- let's experdite.

Jack- good (checking his watch).

Anders- general McNeelly is up for promotion.

Jack- she's good but I don't think she's ready to play with the boys.

Anders- this is her second time she's up for promotion (halt and flames flooded his throat).

Jack- so she can retire, (grin) happy she is one of the few.

Anders- I disagree, she can put and end to all this damn scandals running around the forces.

Jack- scandals, there have been so many, people hardly ever notice any more.

Anders- is bad for moral and is bad for public affairs.

Jack- that's not my job.

Anders- how I'm suppose to do fix those problems if I don't get the resources.

Jack- (laugh with malicious intent), and you think she is the cure, she will be the worse headache and disgrace to the service, she even can take you down.

Anders- we gotta take a chance.

Jack- fine have it your way, but when you get in deep shit I won't save your ass (gripping his fist).

Parish knock at the driver's rear window, "to Mr. Myers' home".

No one say any thing the rest of the way, Anders knew was sticking out his neck into some thing that might back fire, he could stand idle to all the scandals running around the forces.

As she took the subway to Seoul she looked around if the KCIA might follow her, she wonder why the KCIA (Korean central intelligence agency) have such interest on her, sure she'd been on every student riot but never done any crime, sat and look around the train car but was empty, open her purse and yank a small mirror and cosmetic kit.

A young kid with dirty clothes was waiting for her at the station, she look at him approach him, the night was getting colder and the wind blew stronger, she brace her coat, he appear suspicious, look at her.

-were you follow?

Lee- no.

-let's go?

They got to an old hotel and through a back door they sneak to the basement.

-shhhh (with his finger on the mouth)

Lee nodded, the dark basement was dirty and squeak noise rattle around, she knew were rats and mice and hated them but couldn't seen them, he led her to another narrow corridor.

Suddenly she thought to hope they never find she was dating an American, they would never forgive her, not only that but they would conduct acts of vengeance and she was some times terrify to think how far they would go to make her pay for the mistake.

Inside an old room, about three stories below the street, the students have gather to plan the usual riot, they couldn't use the camp facilities, the KCIA had bugged the campus.

All the young faces look anxious, their banners and horns were their guns, she approach a young man surrounded by a crowd of about 20, she kiss his dry lips and smile.

-Lee are you ready.

Lee- I am.

He look up at the faces in the crowd.

-It is gonna be a great riot, reunification can't be stop, (the eyes of the young man show euphoria), Americans most go, there's no other option, peaceful reunification.

His lung pump of excitement and his eyes full euphoria, glance at her and cheer him on.

He was Tim Il Hong of American mother and Korean father but changed his name to Lao Hong, the hatred for Americans was born when his mother neglect him.

With Holidays nearing people gather to shop in the shopping malls around down town, the evening was cold and the sky was clear however thew lights glitter in the reflecting pool and the daily commute riding the bridge abobe the Potomac seem so uneventful, Ben was at the bar thinking what if North Korea launch a nuclear attack against those the South, he was terrify to ponder the consequence, took a large sip of beer and grunt.

Nick walked in and swiftly approach, sat next to him.

Nick- I know how you feel.

Ben- you have no idea, (wince) you know the UN NBC (nuclear bioligical chemical) inspectors estimates.

Nick- listen you can’t change the world, I have a four year old daughter, spare me the guilt of not doing enough to save the world, if you want to do some thing (check his watch), the director will pick us up in 20 minutes.

Ben- alright chief let’s go (got up exhale, Nick follow), by the way where we going?

Nick- the briefing with the NSA (national security advisor).

Ben- I’ll grab a coffee in the way.

Nick- you’ll need some gum too.

The driver stop at the corner and James open the rear door, they got in and James smile.

Ben- Sr. do we have team in the case.

James- no the director of operations is not aware yet and you won’t dibulge information to any one, (his voice turn harsh), this matter has the highest top security clearance.

Pennsylvania avenue look glamours with the crowds of people amass to admire the White House, slowly as the night got colder the people begin to vanish and light on most of the building shut down, NSA William E Colby was working late, his office two doors away of the oval office meant a lot, no every single working stiff have an office just few feet away of the office of the most powerful man in the world, Colby a man ambitious resulted tempting to enter every day to his office and see the President's but he knew would never be to run for President because he had too many skeletons on the closet.

Ben, Nick and James walked into the door, Colby got up to greet him, "good evening".

Nick- Nick Christensen, Sr.

Ben- Ben Rohdes.

Colby- is a nice night to be out on the town, (turning to look at the window), let’s get to the point.

James- yeah well photo analyst Mr. Rhodes found the North Koreans were preparing to move.

Colby- James you are almost sure about this.

James- yeah but we need to confirm it.

Colby- I’ll brief the president and order the COMIREX (committee of intelligence resource exploitation, in charge of tasking and organizing US spy satellite fleet) to put a rush on the order.

Ben- Sr., weather won’t allow KH-11 satellites to get reliable intellegence.

Colby- have you any suggestion how to get better intel.

Ben- well let’s put a team on this and we need to move fast, (try not to hyperventilate), we might not have the luxury of time.

Colby- thanks for the input but I’ll have to brief the President and get authorization before we make a move.

Ben got up and glimpse at James, took his coat.

Ben- with all due respect we’re getting nowhere fast, excuse me (gripping both fists).

Ben walked out and slam the door, Nick being older and more mature.

Nick- you gotta forgive him, he’s young and (studder) you understand, he’s very good.

James- Mr. Christensen please we need to discuss this matter through.

Nick- I get it, this is where my security level ends, (got up, grab his coat and scar), excuse me gentlemen.

The silent reign after Nick was gone, Colby took a sip of tea and got up to change the CD.

Colby- you have hear some times my CD collection of Choppin, he wrote a real powerful concerto for cello and violin.

James- no I prefer Chuck Berry and Aretha Franklin but I enjoy music.

Colby- okay, I hate to say it but that scientist Kim was right, they readying for war.

James- you know this guy is right (cross his legs), we have to put a team on this right away.

Colby- you want me to call TV, radio and media to tell them the North Korea is about to strike, there’ll be panic in the streets of South Korea, why you think we didn’t tell any one the Japs were about to bomb Pearl Harbor.

James- you gotta do some thing.

Colby- alright I’ll brief the President.
